Collection of technical and personal data
Whenever you visit our website, our Internet server automatically collects information from ServerLog files transmitted by your browser and records this information for system safety and statistical purposes. The retained information includes domain names or the IP address of the source computer inclusive of access data and time, the client's file request (file name and URL), the http response code, browser type/version, operating system used, the website you visited before coming to our website, and the number of bytes transmitted during the session. Your IP address is encrypted and the individual user remains anonymous. Further personal data beyond the above mentioned information such as (your) company/institute, family and first names, postal code, town/city, e-mail address or telephone number will be only collected if you disclose them voluntarily on our website, e.g. for downloading simulation software or when making a request. ESI ITI collects, stores and processes personal data exclusively in compliance with the applicable legal rules and regulations and only to the extent required for fulfilling the contractual arrangements between ESI ITI and you, or for providing requested offers.

Processing and disclosure of above mentioned personal data
We use your personal data only for the purpose of technical administration of our website and for processing your requests or orders. However, we may use such data for product-related surveys and marketing purposes, but only if and when you have given us your prior consent and have not withdrawn your consent, and in any case only to the extent specifically required. We do not share your data with any third parties unless you have given your consent or unless we are under a legal obligation to disclose the data to public authorities. By using our website you agree that we share your data with third parties to the extent required for fulfilling the contractual obligations between you and us, or for providing requested offers. Inquiries or requests coming from countries where we have a local ESI company or a distributor (compare will be forwarded to said company/distributor whenever deemed necessary for quick and smooth processing of such inquiry or request. Appropriate technical, organisational and legal procedures have been implemented to ensure the same privacy standards in this case. ESI will use the data for no other purpose than that indicated above and, in particular, will not sell the data to third parties. When orders are placed, we process and use the order-related data required for proper performance of the contract as obtained at the beginning and during the life of the contract, inclusive of any optional information provided by you (contract data). The contract data not only include title, surname and first name(s), street address, date of birth, telephone number and/or e-mail addresses, but also payment transaction data, turnover data – broken down by service item and software module – and history information about software modules already used by you. Should you register several users, their data will be recorded as well. Data will be made anonymous after four years of non-use.

You have also the option to subscribe to our periodical newsletter. We obtain personal data only where you provide this information voluntarily, e.g. when you register with our HelpDesk, or when you use our contact or download forms, or when you send us e-mails, inquiries or requests for material. In such case, it is necessary to record and use personal data, especially your e-mail address, to be able to process your request. So by sending an inquiry or request you get informed that we use your personal data, especially your e-mail address, to reply to it. Please understand that we may have to ask you under certain circumstances to confirm your prior verbal consent in writing or by electronic means.
